Community Outreach
Overview - Macon Outreach
Macon Outreach is greatly in need of non-perishable food donations and are collected year round in a bin on a cart in the hallway near the Chapel. Items such as canned fish and beans, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, applesauce, canned fruits and vegetables, rice and pastas are all especially helpful. Please help contribute to this Tikun Olam effort by bringing a can with you on your way to services, and/or religious school.
Thank you to all of the dedicated CSI and TBI volunteers who help serve lunch to those in need at Macon Outreach (Mulberry Methodist) on the third Thursday of each month from 10:45 am - noon. If you are interested in participating, please contact David Ilan. You can call the CSI secretary for David's contact information.
PROJECT ISAIAH 5771
For the last 20 years conservative synagogues
have made Operation Isaiah a part of
their High Holiday observations.
Inspired by Isaiah's words in the Yom Kippur
Haftorah, "Share your bread with the hungry",
we bring non perishable foods to synagogue on
Yom Kippur.
Receptacles for your donations will be
located in the lobbies, and the food collected
will stock the shelves at Macon Outreach at
Mulberry.
Those of us who are able are also encouraged
to mail a check to:
