mUSYc (Macon USY Chapter "music") and Kadima Macon
Invites all CSI teens (8th-12th grade) to join us for a year of fun building lasting
Jewish friendships through United Synagogue Youth.
For more information contact:
Molly Bayme, mUSYc chapter president, at 474-0063, Laura Ilan, adult advisor, at
474-6965, or visit www.hanegevusy.org
mUSYc Notes:
Macon's USY Chapter (MUSYC) and our Kadima Macon chapter have been busy this
winter. In December we decorated Chanukah cookies, shared the cookies with members of
the congregation present that day, and played board and card games. In January we had lots
of delicious fruits and nuts in honor of Tu B'Shevat coming up. We also learned how to make
beads out of glossy magazine paper and string them into bracelets, and had a short
discussion on Jewish quotes about the value of nature and trees. Over President's Day
weekend in February, Teva will be attending a USY convention in Orlando at Universal
Studios called "Yom Islands of Adventure", and enjoy a full Shabbat weekend with Atlanta
area USYers during his stay in Orlando. At CSI MUSYC and Kadima Macon will be
participating in a glass painting activity Sunday morning, February 10th, with Celia
Henigman and Laura Ilan. Finally, USY wants to congratulate fellow USYer, Will Finkelstein,
on his state level interview for the Governor's Honors Program January 26th. Kol HaKavod
Will!
