I guess the old adage about April showers bringing May flowers is true. I hope we all take time to enjoy all the beautiful flowers and trees all over Macon and especially at our own CSI. A special thank you to Laura and David Ilan for the beautiful daffodil bed gracing our corner of First and Plum! Aren’t they just beautiful!
Just a heads up for everyone. May will be a busy month with everyone winding down both Hebrew and Religious school for this school year. We will also have an excellent program later this month. Hershel Greenblatt will be joining us May 21st at 2 pm to tell us about his experiences during the Holocaust. Please plan to attend as our opportunities to hear live accounts by actual survivors begin to dwindle as they age and pass on. Details to follow. A notice will be going out soon for our Annual Congregational meeting in June. Please let Stephanie know about any of our CSI family members graduating so that we may honor them in our next bulletin. We do not want to leave anyone out.
Can you believe it has been 10 years since our very own Stephanie Johnson joined our CSI family as our secretary extraordinaire. Stephanie has been with me during my last term as president as well as this one. Thank you for all you
do. I know I don’t say it enough and it takes a lot to make everyone here happy, and you do it so well.
Although Spring is here, the weather is still a bit unusual for this time of year, and the pollen count is extremely high, so be sure and take extra precautions to avoid the springtime colds, allergies and any remaining flu or COVID still hanging around by staying home if you are ill and frequently washing your hands. Please make good use of antiseptic hand cleaners and use Kleenex when you sneeze.
Hope all of you have a great month! See all of you in shul!
Shalom!
Shelley
