A Not So Quiet Month For Activities

January is supposed to be a quiet month for activities, but not at CSI! We have had a busy start. Rabbi Rubinstein, Sharona, and Zohar have all made our Shabbat services really wonderful with the added readings and illustrations they have shared. We all experienced meaningful shares with Sharona about her mother’s memory and also the thought-provoking additions for our thankful resolution to the terrible terroristic acts in Colleyville, Texas. I am so glad we were able to say prayers of thanksgiving for the congregation and Rabbi’s safety instead of mourning their loss.

I have been extremely busy along with many other Board members zooming with other congregations throughout the nation for awareness programs and safety concerns. Learning about these important concepts will be ongoing, and we are working on new safety procedures and protocols to be introduced as well. February will be another busy month with wonderful programing, adult education programs and more. I want to wish Yasher Koach to Graham Bullington and his entire family.

I often get nostalgic and look through some of my old paperwork such as old bulletin articles I wrote during previous tenures as president. One such note made me want to share a happy memory with all of you to brighten up our cold and dreary February. Did you know that in February 2013, we celebrated the Bar Mitzvah of Isaac Crabtree? Hope each of you has something in your day to make you smile and want to join us on zoom for Shabbat or Adult Ed programing!
