Teens

mUSYc (Macon USY Chapter “music”) and Kadima Macon

Invites all CSI teens (8th-12th grade) to join us for a year of fun building lasting Jewish friendships through United Synagogue Youth.

mUSYc Notes:

Kadima Macon and MUSYC (Macon USY Chapter) are the youth groups at Sha’arey Israel for our 6 – 8th graders and our high school teens. United Synagogue Youth (USY) and Kadima inspire Jewish youth to explore, celebrate and practice ethical values, Jewish Living, Zionism and community responsibility based on the ideology of the Conservative Movement.

Both Kadima Macon and MUSYC chapters have grown in both numbers and enthusiasm since we first began in August of 2009. Some of the highlights for Kadima Macon and MUSYC include pool parties, games and pizza, picnics, viewing and discussing an movies, and End of Year games and elections.  Conventions, of course, are also a tremendously fun aspect of Kadima and USY.

Camp Ramah Darom

Many of our teen congregants attend camp.  Ramah Darom offers an outstanding overnight camp in a dynamic Jewish environment. Camp Ramah integrates experiential Jewish living and learning with an atmosphere of friendship and fun. In addition to a top-notch sports and arts programs, campers find a caring approach to social, intellectual, and religious growth.
