We hope everyone had a good holiday of Thanksgiving this past month. This holiday gives everyone the chance to take the time and think of all the things that they are thankful for. Both of us are thankful for our family and friends, and all of our Congregation here at CSI. We are very fortunate to have such a caring and giving group of people that are there in times of trouble to help each other get through whatever the problem is at the time. If any of you is ever in need, please feel free to speak to anyone on our Board or Rabbi Rubinstein. If one of us cannot help, we can try to find a solution to the problem. You will never know until you ask.
As November draws to a close and December is around the corner, we are looking forward to Hannukah! This year our Congregation and Temple Beth Israel are celebrating the holiday together at TBI on Friday, December 8th and at CSI on Sunday, December 10th. Both of our Congregations are participating in lighting our Community wide Menorah on December 10th at 5:30 pm on the corner of Third and Plum Streets. Be on the lookout for more details in the flyer that has been sent out. Please make reservations if you plan to join us for hotdogs and latkes after the Menorah lighting.
We want to thank all of you who have contributed this year to our annual fund drive. As our tax year is coming to a close, we wanted to remind all of you who have not contributed to think of making a donation to CSI before year end. Those deductions can really add up when looking at getting your paperwork together to file your taxes, and we would really appreciate any of you remembering CSI on your list of donations before year end. Of course, if you have already given, we appreciate what you have already donated and will welcome any additional amount you are able to give.
As January is just around the corner, we both want to wish all of you a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2024!
Hope to see all of you in shul or on zoom!
Shalom!
Shelley and Jan
